Using Page Layouts

Layouts Tab in the Sidebar
Under the "Layouts" menu, you’ll find the page layouts. The "Layouts" tab in the sidebar contains a variety of design templates for the different page types in your album. By scrolling through the list, you can quickly get an overview of all available templates.
Advantages of Using Page Layouts
- Simplicity: With predefined layouts, you can quickly and easily create attractive pages without having to adjust every detail yourself.
- Consistency: Using layouts ensures a uniform and professional appearance throughout your album.
- Variety: The wide selection of templates offers you numerous ways to design and personalize your pages according to your style.
Placing Page Layouts in Your Album
Step-by-step guide for placing layouts:
- Drag-and-Drop: Click and hold the left mouse button on the selected layout, and drag it to the desired page in the album.
- Apply Layout: Release the mouse button to place the layout on the page.
Placing Layouts on Pages with Content
Note: When you apply a layout to a page that already contains content, the existing content will be overwritten. Make sure you no longer need the current content before applying a layout. Place your desired layout on a double page with an existing layout and confirm that the previous layout will be replaced.
Placing Layouts on Blank Pages
You can also apply page layouts to empty pages in your album. Here’s how to do it:
- Add a Blank Page: Create a blank double-page by clicking the "+" symbol at the center of the bottom page border.
- Apply Layout: Drag and drop the layout onto the blank page to apply it directly.
Tips for Layout Placement
- Experiment with Different Layouts: Try out different layouts to find the best design for your page.
- Adjustments After Placement: After placing a layout, you can further customize it by adding or editing text fields, images, and other elements.
- Create Backup Copies: Before applying a layout to pages with important content, create a backup of the page to preserve the current layout.
Reusing Your Own Layouts
Sometimes, you might want to reuse a layout you’ve created on one page for other pages. This is easy to do with the copy-and-paste function.
- Select the Page: Choose the page that contains the layout you want to copy.
- Select the Elements: Press

(Mac) to copy the layout. - Select Target Page: Go to the page where you want to insert the layout.
